Terex Ecotec Equipment
For a number of years, Terex Materials Processing was active in the wood processing industry by selling trommels and screens but it was not until 2011 when it finally entered the wood chipper market. Terex Materials Processing purchased Woodsman that year, thus launching what is now called Terex Ecotec. Acquiring the Michigan-based wood chipper manufacturer was a significant step in Terex Ecotec’s development but it would take a company’s caliber of Continental Biomass Industries (CBI) to give Terex Ecotec a mobile product line that could compete worldwide. Otherwise, it would take years to design and manufacture the machines in-house. CBI was founded in 1988 and has pioneered the biomass processing industry for over 25 years.
