Molson Young Delivers Thwaites Site Dumpers Across North East England and Southern Scotland

We recently brought you the exciting news that Molson Young has been appointed the new Thwaites dealer for Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders. This new territory builds on our appointment as Thwaites dealers for the North East of England, which began in January.

Who are Thwaites?

Thwaites describe themselves as the ‘dumper specialists’. They are a privately owned and independent company that is dedicated to the design and manufacture of site dumpers. The company was established in 1937 by Basil Thwaites, and they have remained family owned and run ever since.

Thwaites are more than just site dumper specialists; they are innovators in the sector. They invented the first site dumper back in 1951, with a 15cwt rear tip machine that revolutionised construction sites. This brand new machine was an immediate success, leading to many other models in the following years.

Today, Thwaites has become a byword for quality, with Thwaites site dumpers available in over 70 countries around the world.
