Molson was out in force at this year’s Hillhead event, showing a comprehensive range of products both on static display and working in many of the demo areas. And as well as impressive products, our stand caught plenty of attention thanks to the giant Ukraine-themed bucket on display, highlighting the on-going campaign to support those affected by the conflict.

Basking in the incredible Buxton sunshine, Hillhead 2022 – the first in four years – delivered a truly impressive show. As the first of the established plant events since Covid, it was the perfect opportunity for Molson to exhibit products from several of their specialist divisions.

The main Molson stand featured products from Kobelco, Hyundai, Rokbak, Sennebogen, Terex Ecotec, Finlay and EvoQuip to name a few. Molson Compact had their own stand, adjoining our friends at Ammann Group, to showcase the complete range of smaller excavators, compaction from other brands including Cormidi, TuffTrux and many more.

With so much on display from the Molson “Single Source Supply” offering, visitors had plenty to look over as they enjoyed the outstanding hospitality that Molson have become renowned for. With a tasty selection of Naanwich’s available from an independent street food vendor and freshly ground coffee from professional baristas, guests had a chance to appreciate feature machines such as the Kobelco SK850LC-10E, Rokbak RA30 and the Ammann ARS150HX.

The centre piece of the stand was undoubtedly the MST 5.2m2 heavy duty rock bucket that has been painted in the colours of the Ukraine flag. The bucket featured details of the Molson Group journey of supporting those impacted by the conflict, along with details of the groups and organisations that have worked with Molson to achieve all they have so far.

By lending their logistics expertise along with various fund-raising initiatives led by a group of Community Champions, Molson have received, sorted, and transported 4 articulated lorry loads of aid to credible charities in the area who have then distributed the aid into the hands of the Ukrainian people. With the running total of 414 volunteer hours from Molson staff, this is a cause that has really resonated with the team.

This effort has only been possible by working in collaboration with pro-active community groups and like-minded businesses. A few that must be mentioned include the community groups Cardiff for Ukraine and Ukrainians in Bristol. Charites like Hope and Aid direct and Fareshare, and businesses like PKP Transport, Project Start, Kuehne + Nagal, CO OP, Davidsons Chemists, Doune Nursery, Imagesign, EY, Multimat and MST

Molson would like to thank everyone who visited our stands over the 3 days of Hillhead and we look forward to seeing you at the next one in 2024.
