Parts Manager – Avonmouth

Reports to: Group Parts Manager

Type of position: Full-time

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and build rapport with the parts team based at the Avonmouth depot
  • Ensure that the team remains focused and are achieving required objectives
  • Strive for growth of parts sales at every opportunity, devise and implement strategies
  • Be responsible for individual and team sales performance
  • Work closely with the Warehouse department to ensure smooth flow of goods receipt and dispatch
  • Speak regularly with customers, understand requirements and resolve any issues or escalations
  • Prioritise workload efficiently
  • Liaise regularly with the machine sales team to ensure customer requirements are met and Molson service delivery is second to none
  • Make outbound sales calls to develop and maintain relationships with key customers
  • Receive inbound sales calls on a daily basis, produce sales orders and quotations according to customer requirements
  • Identify parts requirements through various methods of parts manuals
  • Ensure that sales are produced on customer accounts or process card payments for cash customers
  • Be responsible for individual and team invoicing of sales
  • Oversee and liaise with the Purchasing department to ensure smooth flow of required parts
  • Liaise closely with Manufacturers and Suppliers, discuss opportunities and resolve issues
  • Liaise closely with transport companies to ensure paperwork and import requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Develop, implement and manage processes to maximise efficiency in multiple areas
  • Consider any improvements that can be made and implement where required
  • Recruit and hold interviews for required staff
  • Produce regular staff appraisals, documenting and taking actions where required
  • Work closely with the accounts payable team to ensure that supplier invoice discrepancies are assessed and approved or queried where required
  • Work closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure customer account issues and queries are resolved instantly
  • Use the ERP system on a daily basis, maximise potential and identify improvements that can be made whilst documenting accordingly
  • Undertake various project work as required by Molson Senior Management
  • Liaise with multiple Molson departments, assisting with enquiries
  • Must be Health and Safety focused and all concerns must be escalated immediately to the Health and Safety team

Skill and Experience

  • Excellent level of English, Maths and IT required
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programmes
  • Must be very competent in the use of computers and email

Education Requirements:

  • Must have a strong background in a similar Parts Management position
