Credit Controller – Avonmouth
Reports to: Group Treasury Manager
Type of position: Full-time
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Main Responsibilities:
We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to help us manage our debts. We require you to take responsibility for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger, and providing administrative support. To succeed as a Credit Controller, we expect you to have a good eye for detail and the ability to reconcile complex company accounts. Ultimately, a high performing Credit Controller can maximize company profits by efficiently managing its debts.
• Chasing debts via phone calls, letters and to communicate with solicitors where required along with internal business partners
• Liaising with customers to create a good working relationship to enable the continuation of future business and customer satisfaction
• Proactively monitor customer credit limits
• Monitor customer balances to ensure balances are collected in a timely manner
• Review invoices in query and develop a robust process to ensure issues are resolved and balances collected.
• Responding to client queries in a timely manner
• Providing administrative support to the finance team
• Other duties as reasonably required
Skill and Experience
• Experience of setting and reviewing customer credit limits
• Previous experience in a credit control team
• Persistence and resilience with excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external customers
• Busy and fast paced environment
• Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable however not essential
• Able to work independently and within a team
Education Requirements:
- Good general level of Education including English and Maths
- Proficient IT skills, especially email, word and excel
