Credit Controller – Avonmouth

Reports to: Group Treasury Manager

Type of position: Full-time

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Main Responsibilities:

  • Chasing debts, phone calls (target 200 per week), letters, liaison with solicitors where required and internal business partners
  • Build relationship with customers and internal business partners
  • Proactively Monitor customer Credit Limits, with a rolling program of reviews
  • Monitors customer balances, to ensure balances collected
  • Review invoices in queries and develop a robust process to ensure issues resolved and balances collected, including a program to collect any historic balances
  • Work with the Treasury Manager to support the wider group on cash collection, to develop a Group approach to cash collection and management
  • With the Treasury Manager, develop a Group Credit Manual for a Group approach to cash collection and credit processes
  • Other duties as reasonably required

Skill and Experience

Good communication skills, especially on the phone
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Proficient IT skills, especially email, Word and Excel
• In depth knowledge as a Credit Controller
• Experience of setting and reviewing customer Credit Limits
• Persistence and Resilience, with excellent interpersonal skills for internal and external customers

Education Requirements:

  • Good general level of Education including English and Maths
