Main Responsibilities:
- Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of engineering skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical staff.
- To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as the training period progresses by working independently or within a team, to undertake tasks as instructed and increasing overall contribution to the department.
- To undertake and successfully complete suitable college courses throughout the training period, achieving the academic grades and practical skills to entitle yearly progression leading to the award of a suitable level.
- Learning and understanding the importance of Health and Safety within the workspace.
- Assist with general housekeeping, i.e. emptying of bins, replenishing of rag bins, replenishing of nut & bolt rack and consumables.
- Learn how to keep and maintain workshop equipment in a good state of repair.
- Component cleaning for senior engineers, when required.
- To perform any other duties appropriate to the grade and role of the post holder.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain personal smart appearance and act in a professional manner.
- Attend College as and when required.
Education Requirements:
- GCSE English & Maths, grade 4/C or above or equivalent.
- Competent IT skills.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Punctual.
- Able to take instruction.
- Reliable.
Any other details:
- Must be able to attend our depot in Avonmouth, Bristol on a daily basis.
- Probationary period is to be passed before enrolment onto apprenticeship.
