We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and committed Sales Representative to join and expand our successful Sales Team supporting and expanding the Greater Washington area, being a liaison between customers and our support services, and providing excellent customer service.
Main Responsibilities:
- To sell Powerscreen’s expanding offering of machinery and attachments, including excavators and articulated dump trucks (Kobelco, Bell, Hyundai and other brands in the process of being onboarded).
- Be knowledgeable about the machines/products we offer, including demonstration of a high level of technical product knowledge. Effectively communicating the benefits of these offerings to potential customers, answering any questions, and providing accurate information regarding pricing and delivery times.
- Build a new client base from the bottom up for Powerscreen’s new OEM brands that have recently been onboarderd (Kobelco and Bell, plus other construction and infrastructure equipment types)
- Build and maintain new client relationships, including visiting prospective and existing customers to maintain strong relationships.
- Respond to technical questions regarding equipment, including in relation to specific equipment application requirements.
- Raising quotes for new machines, using our quoting tool.
- Liaising with the Sales Coordinators, requesting invoices to send to customers.
- Liaising with workshop and production teams to ensure machines are in production and will be ready to deliver to the customer on time.
- Using our reporting tool to check stock, ensuring that timelines are being met, and delivery will meet cash forecasting.
- Inspecting customer ‘trade in’ machines, if they are to be part exchanged.
Work experience/Person specification:
- A proven track record in a sales capacity, including building new customer relationships and maintaining strong ongoing relationships.
- Knowledge of the sector and how to win new business in either a construction or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of excavators, articulated dump trucks and other construction and infrastructure related equipment types.
- Must hold a current Drivers Licence.
- Be willing to travel.
- Experience of selling heavy construction plant equipment and services.
