The Role
Joining a dynamic and fast-paced organisation, you will report to the Finance Manager and provide financial support and guidance to senior stakeholders across the business.
You will be a proactive and enthusiastic individual, working within a busy and collaborative Finance team.
Main Responsibilities:
Supporting a business income stream across our UK & US operations, core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and analysis of month-end results, including succinct, informative commentary
- Conduct regular operational meetings, to review and forecast financial performance
- Work with operational staff to improve:
- Group profitability
- Policies and procedures
- Understanding and use of Group ERP system
- Ensure all tasks are completed in line with the group month-end timetable
- Preparation of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of any issues
- Preparation of formal budgets and reforecasts for income stream
- Providing weekly and monthly analysis to budget holders
- Continued review and development of processes
- ERP system support, development and maintenance
Additional Responsibilities:
- Planning for and support of the annual statutory audit
- Supporting with the improvement of financial and business controls
- Assisting with company-wide process improvement projects
- System implementations and maintenance
- Ad-hoc requests
- Regular travel to our UK depots will be required and occasional travel to our US locations
Work Experience & Education Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Strong experience in month-end accounts preparation, planning, budgeting & forecasting
- Experience in producing insightful business analysis
- Strong IT skills including advanced in MS Excel
- Knowledge of Power Query, SQL and BI would be advantageous
- The ideal candidate would have experience in a multi-ledger organisation
